We examine the threats that could affect your people, property and operations, identify where current protection is vulnerable and turn those findings into a prioritised plan for reducing risk and protecting people’s safety.
WHAT WE DO
Threat & Risk Assessment: our approach.
An assessment starts with what matters to you: the people you need to protect, the activities you need to maintain and the consequences you could face if something goes wrong. We consider the threat, the opportunity for it to cause harm and the effectiveness of the safeguards already in place. This gives you a reasoned picture of your exposure and a practical basis for deciding what to improve.
How we carry out the work.
1
Understand the people, assets and environment
We establish the assessment boundaries and review the property, activities, routines and operating environment. Discussions with relevant representatives help identify concerns, previous incidents, sensitive assets and changes that may affect exposure.
2
Examine threats and vulnerabilities
We review relevant threat information and, where the scope includes a site visit, examine access, boundaries, buildings, security systems, staffing and procedures. We look at how these measures work together, including how an incident would be detected, reported and responded to.
3
Evaluate risk and existing controls
We consider plausible scenarios, their likelihood and their potential consequences using an agreed assessment approach. Findings distinguish observed weaknesses, available evidence and assumptions, so the reasoning behind a risk rating is clear.
4
Recommend and prioritise improvements
We identify proportionate ways to reduce exposure, separating immediate actions from longer-term improvements. Recommendations consider practicality, disruption, available resources and the benefit each measure is expected to provide.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
Clear findings. Practical next steps.
A written assessment explaining the scope, key threats, vulnerabilities and existing safeguards.
A risk register or findings schedule showing priorities and the reasons behind them.
An action plan with recommended controls, suggested responsibilities and review points, tailored to the agreed scope.
Note The scope and deliverables are agreed for each engagement.
HOW THE INFORMATION IS USED
From understanding to action.
We talk you through the findings so you can decide where to focus attention and investment. The report can inform security procedures, staffing, technology requirements, emergency plans and discussions with specialist providers. If requested, we help translate agreed recommendations into an implementation plan and review whether completed actions have reduced the identified exposure.
