Workplace Risk Assessments

We examine tasks and working conditions to identify who could be harmed, assess existing precautions and develop practical controls with clear responsibility for implementation.

WHAT WE DO

Workplace Risk Assessments:
our approach.

A useful risk assessment reflects real work rather than a generic description. We engage with relevant staff and managers to understand normal activities, occasional tasks and changes that may create additional exposure. Findings are recorded in a usable format so the people responsible can understand the risk and act on the recommendations.

How we carry out the work.

Understand tasks and conditions

We review the activities, locations, equipment and working arrangements in scope, using available records, discussion and site observation where agreed.

Identify hazards and affected people

We consider who could be harmed and how, including staff, visitors, contractors and others relevant to the activity. Existing precautions and their practical application are reviewed.

Evaluate controls and actions

We assess the identified exposure and recommend proportionate ways to reduce risk, setting out priorities and implementation responsibilities.

Communicate and review

We explain the findings and identify when reassessment is appropriate, including after relevant changes, incidents or new information. Specialist requirements are flagged where the scope calls for additional expertise.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

Clear findings.
Practical next steps.

  • Documented assessments for the agreed activities or premises.
  • Clear findings on hazards, existing precautions and recommended controls.
  • An action schedule and suggested review triggers for responsible managers.

Note
The scope and deliverables are agreed for each engagement.

HOW THE INFORMATION IS USED

From understanding
to action.

The assessments support task planning, staff briefings and the allocation of corrective work. Managers can use them to track controls and revisit assumptions when activities change, rather than treating the document as a one-off exercise.
